Providence Health & Services Administrative Supervisor in Centralia, Washington
Providence is calling an Administrative Supervisor (0.6 FTE, Variable Shift) to work in Nursing Supervision at Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia , WA.
The Administrative Supervisors provide nursing service administration on evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts ensuring comprehensive nursing services and quality patient care. The Administrative Supervisor acts as a representative of administration and coordinates hospital and departmental activities on an assigned shift.
In this position you will:
Place patients to be admitted / transferred appropriately, considering disease entity / diagnosis, nursing needs, staffing requirements and patient / physician requests.
Attend monthly Department Manager, monthly Nursing Leadership and quarterly Patient Care Manager and Leadership Development Institute (LDI) meetings to obtain information necessary to support management decisions/programs
Work with the Staffing Assistant on an on-going basis to assist in projections of staffing needs; offers suggestions and assistance as appropriate
Facilitate the call-back of staff for emergency surgeries and coverage of other departments as appropriate in a timely manner
Demonstrate an ability to encourage/coach employees toward professional development and, evaluates staff on use of “must have skills” to promote patient satisfaction
Graduate of an NLN accredited registered nurse program
Washington State licensure as a Registered Nurse with annual renewal
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN)
5 years acute care professional experience (within the last seven years) with one year being in entry level management or supervision or experience in a charge nurse or supervisory capacity will substitute for the Bachelors degree; however, the candidate must be enrolled in a BSN program to obtain the degree within 3 years
