Providence Health & Services Clinical Manager and Family Birthing Center (FBC) Educator - Family Birthing Center in Centralia, Washington
Providence is calling a Clinical Manager and Family Birthing Center (FBC) Educator (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to the Family Birthing Center at Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, Washington.
The Manager/Educator is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and operations for the assigned areas of responsibility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, staffing, education, orientation, developing and ongoing professional relationships with physicians and staff, supporting and leading department goals and objectives, promoting the Providence Centralia Hospital Commitment to Excellence program and assuring staff engagement in the assigned area of responsibility.
In this position you will:
Works with staff to operationalize department goals, and objectives.
Assures that policies and procedures implemented and adhered to by the staff.
Works with Director / Chief Nursing Officer to actualize strategic plan and to complying with organizational guidelines which identifies objectives for increasing market share and volumes.
Assures employees understand and are committed to the organization Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
Works with employees to participate in Mission activities that contribute to the overall good of the community. Sets an example to employees.
Participates on appropriate committees, including Education Council to support house wide planning and education activities, at the direction of the Director or Chief Nursing Officer.
Actively participates and ensures employee participation in customer satisfaction program in accordance with organizational guidelines which exceed guest, family, patient, and physician satisfaction.
Promotes sensitivity with cultural and religious beliefs.
Works with Director by contributing to budget planning process and working within set budgetary and productivity guidelines.
Understands role in maintaining budgetary and productivity standards and is able to hold staff accountable for same.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field
3 years Clinical experience in Labor and Delivery or;
1 year of Manager level experience in the area of Supervisory, experience may include Charge Nurse Level or Assistant Nurse Manager and above
Knowledge of current trends, standards, and regulatory requirements as relates to obstetrical / newborn nursing.
Demonstration of excellent communication, written and verbal.
Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
Effective team leadership.
Knowledge of JCAHO Standards, compliance law, state regulation, and related legal issues.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Familiarity with Epic and/or OBIX Electronic Documentation System
Master's Degree in a relevant field, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Business, or Healthcare Administration
5 years total experience, or 3 years of Manager Level experience in the area of assigned responsibility
Certification in Perinatal Nursing
License and Certification qualifications for this position include:
Valid applicable license in the State of Washington.
