Providence Health & Services Food Services Worker in Centralia, Washington
Providence is looking for a Food Services Worker (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work at Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, WA.
We’re seeking a detail-oriented individual that prepares and serves therapeutic diets for patient meals and nourishment, ensures compliance to diet orders, and generally supports the food service activities.
In this position you will:
Complies with food services sanitation and cleanliness requirements.
Follows safe food handling principles of temperature control, cleanliness, and non-contamination of food using accepted HACCP protocol.
Controls contamination of food by proper hand washing and glove use.
Sanitizes equipment with proper sanitizing solutions. Equipment includes food carts, salad bar, tables, shelves, microwave, ice machine, sinks, counter tops, dishware, glassware, flatware, and utensils.
Follows cleaning schedule per shift requirements.
Labels food with appropriate date and ensures proper rotation of potentially hazardous foods using accepted HACCP protocol.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Current Food Handlers Card in Washington State, or within fourteen (14) days of hire.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Six (6) months plus experience with institutional food service.
Training in quantity food preparation.
High School diploma or GED.
