Providence Health & Services Linen and Asset Coordinator in Centralia, Washington
Providence is calling a Linen and Asset Coordinator (1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week, Days) to work in Laundry Services at Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, WA.

Responsible for the delivery of linen to all assigned locations, data entry of linen, special laundry needs (e.g. no soap, resident laundry), and coordination with vendors for customer and facility linen needs. Accountable for the maintenance of movable assets, outside storage locations, tracking, managing projects related to asset management, and disposal of excess of equipment. Additionally, the position will be responsible for pager operations. Customer resource for all staff within PCH. Perform back-up duties as assigned.
In this position you will:
Performs a variety of linen duties in support of providing the hospital linen services.
Plans daily linen and laundry activities.
Deliver linen to all assigned units.
Enters required daily data as required for records maintenance, and executes monthly reports as required.
Coordinates procurement of linen supplies and related matters.
Performs in-house laundry processing.
Complies with facility and unit specific safety / infection control procedures, along with personal safety practices & proper equipment handling.
Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment.
Practices safe work habits to prevent personal injury and equipment damage.
Oversees Asset Management operations. Accountable for the maintenance of movable assets, outside storage locations, tracking, managing projects related to asset management, and disposal of excess of equipment.
Demonstrates proficient knowledge and understanding of the asset management process.
Maintains an accurate database of asset information.
Maintains a positive working relationship with all other hospital departments.
Ability to organize and supervise physical inventories of assets for the SWSA.
Demonstrates knowledge of SWSA asset locations and specific department inventories.
Demonstrates expertise in the reporting and handling of assets.
Maintains an accurate database of off-site inventories.
Demonstrates organizational skills and a professional attitude with all levels of staff.
Oversees and supports pager operations.
Responsible for online database management, pager activations and deactivations, trouble shooting customer complaints, maintain pager groups, working with vendor to fix service issues, communication regarding outages.
Required qualifications for this position include:
4 years in distribution services, and/or linen and asset management
Valid applicable license in the State of Washington.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Training in a medical environment, computerized inventory control functions.
