Providence Health & Services Maintenance Engineer in Centralia, Washington
Providence is calling for a Maintenance Engineer (0.1 FTE, Day Shift) to Providence Health & Services in Centralia, WA.
We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to respond to perform duties assigned by the Engineering Supervisor and/or Engineering Manager necessary to keep the physical structure and mechanized systems of the facility in good repair.
In this position you will:
Perform corrective, preventive, casualty, and minor construction/projects maintenance as assigned.
Record maintenance items properly on daily time report/dispatch log ensuring time worked on each item is correct.
Keep Engineering Supervisor informed of difficulties in performing assigned maintenance and any parts or equipment needed.
Inform department Data Processing Technician of any problems encountered with the work orders the same day.
Observe good safety work practices and procedures.
Report unsafe conditions to Supervisor and then corrects those that can be corrected immediately.
Ensure equipment and tools are in a safe condition to use, i.e. saws, grinders, etc.
Make sure protective devices are not bypassed.
Use the lockout/tagout procedure when working on equipment which may be set in motion by whatever means the equipment uses for that purpose.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Minimum of one year experience in a medical facility setting or equivalent on-the-job training.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, boiler operations, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.
HVAC, Electrical, and Boiler Operation license/certification.
