Providence is calling a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (0.5 FTE, 20 hours per week Day Shift) to the Nuclear Medicine at Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, WA.

Performs all Nuclear Medicine procedures and all related patient care to help obtain a diagnosis, providing the best possible care for the patient.
In this position you will:
Provides quality patient care
Ensures proper scheduling and patient preparation has been done
Knowledgeable of National Patient Safety Goals (NPSGs) and adheres to them. Examples include hand washing before/after each patient encounter, using 2 unique patient identifiers, handling and securing medications w/in scope of license.
Is responsible for radiopharmaceutical handling
Orders radionuclides from distributors.
Receives radionuclides into department, surveys for contaminations, and documents amounts and types received.
Performs daily radiation surveys of department and nuclear medicine personnel.
Performs weekly contamination surveys of department and equipment with documentation.
Maintains and distributes personnel dosimetry badges and rings for all radiation workers in hospital.
Maintains department records, including daily logs of patients, tests performed, and isotopes used.
Logs quality of care indicators and prepares quarterly report for inclusion into Radiology Department minutes to CQI management team.
Performs clerical/ accounting duties. Maintains daily log sheets
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited school of nuclear medicine technology qualifying for ARRT/NMTCB certification.
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) Registration
Washington State Certification
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) Certification
Food Handler Permit
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Six (6) months experience in nuclear medicine
