Providence Health & Services Registrar in Centralia, Washington


Providence is calling a Registrar to the Patient Registration Department (Per Diem, Variable Shift) to Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, WA.

We are seeking a Registrar to be responsible for the collection of demographic information to ensure accuracy for billing purposes. Provide general support to patients, families, and visitors. Assist all departments with any patient access needs.

In this position you will:

  • Complete all registrations timely.

  • Verify patient demographics & insurance.

  • Obtain signatures.

  • Scan all required documents, i.e. picture ID, insurance cards, HIPAA.

  • Uses electronic tools as needed.

  • Compiles hospital call schedule daily.

  • Complete QA reports daily.

  • Direct/escort patients.

  • Provide relief for breaks.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • 2 years of Customer Service experience.

  • 1 year of Clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED.

  • Medical terminology.

  • Healthcare setting.

  • Experience with Multi-line phone systems.
