Providence is calling a Supervisor(1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to Laboratory Services at Providence Centralia Hospital inCentralia, WA.
Providence is seeking a Laboratory
Supervisor to be responsible for the day to day technical coordination and
supervision of all laboratory operations.
In this position you will be responsible to assure:
AdequateLaboratory staffing and effective communication among lab staff(scheduling, training, evaluations, and continuing education)
Bench functions including testing, instrumentationoperations, etc. are of high quality
QM program is appropriate to scope of testing withfocus on continual efficiency and quality improvement
Local LIS activities drive the timely andaccurate reporting and retention of data
Laboratory function/practice is maintained toaccrediting agency standards (COLA, CLIA, CAP, etc.)
Effectively communicate with staff, providers, patientsand families
Required qualifications for this positioninclude:
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or otherrelated Life Science
Current MT (ASCP) certification or equivalent
Minimum of four (4) years of Laboratoryexperience at a technologist level
Preferred qualifications for this positioninclude:
Prior management/supervisory experience
Prior experience with LIS implementation and/orutilization
Prior experience using usual array of typical clinicallaboratory instrumentation
